The Osborne Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lady
Lakeside Knights in a non-conference matchup game. The Lady bulldog’s
were looking to avenge a pre-season tournament loss to the knights.
JV-
The Lady Dog’s JV squad took the tip-off and never looked back.
The Dogs aggressive defense as well as a potent offense, rocked the
Knights. Osborne scored 18 points in the first quarter while holding
the Knights to just 2 points. The second quarter was pretty much a
copy of the first, with the Dogs racking up another 18 points and holding
the Knights to NO points. Half time score: Osborne 36 Lakeside 2. During
half time, the Knights made some changes and came out shooting in the
third quarter. Osborne’s coach Wolters substituted liberally,
resulting in both teams scoring 13 points in the third quarter. Osborne
scored an additional 10 points in the fourth quarter while holding
the Knights to just 4 points. Osborne was 9 of 13 from
the charity stripe (69%).

Varsity-
Looking to make a statement, the Lady Dogs took the court against
the Knights. Lakeside took the opening tip-off, but the Dogs were
on fire. With aggressive defense, good offense and some nice three
point shooting, the Lady Dogs built a lead in the first quarter. The
second quarter, the Dogs continued to build their
lead while frustrating the Lady Knights. Half time score: Osborne
41 Lakeside 22. If the Knights hoped the Dogs shooting would cool after
the break, those hopes were quickly dashed. Osborne
continued the good shooting and pressure defense building up a
26 point lead at the end of the third quarter. Coach Wolters played
his bench quite a bit of the third and fourth quarters of the game.
The Dogs still added 4 points to their lead in the fourth quarter.
The Lady Dogs were 9 of 16 from the charity stripe (56%).

score: Osborne 61 Lakeside 41.
